Can you help
one more Mate today?

Your gift can provide access to a mental health professional to help a Mate on their journey to recovery.

We need your help this tax time to ensure that everyone who has served has access to psychology services to help them through the difficult times.

There continues to be a need for mental health interventions for veterans and families and we want to be able to meet that need.

No one should have to go through injury and illness alone. Each time we hear the stories of those who have been impacted by service, we are reminded of just how important the work we do at Mates4Mates is.

“I struggle every day with my story, it still has the capacity to isolate me and I find it difficult to expose and share those scary and vulnerable parts of myself… having access to services through Mates4Mates gives me the opportunity to improve all aspects of myself.”

– Kim, veteran and Mate.

But we can’t do this without you.

Can you help us reach one more Mate?

Tragically, it is estimated that almost half the veteran community experience mental health issues within a 12 month period.

Our psychologists understand the trauma veterans and their families may experience, with some having served themselves.

Around 20% of veterans reported experiencing suicidal ideation in a recent survey, with nearly 8% having made a suicide plan.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes, Mates4Mates is a registered charity and has Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. All donations made to Mates4Mates over $2 are tax-deductible.

Can I donate in another way?

Yes, we welcome donations in all forms. Please contact our support team on 1300 4 MATES (62 837) or email fundraising@mates4mates.org for more information.

Where does my money go?

Your money goes directly to Mates4Mates to help fund our work supporting veterans and families impacted by service. Find out more about our services.

I am making this donation on behalf of John Hetherington who is a member of the Roma RSL. John runs an electrical business in Roma and having done a job for me at home it was decided that , rather than paying him, I would make a donation to Mates4Mates on his behalf. Kind Regards Pauline Scantlebury
