Almost in sight now
Well, I'm about 2.5 weeks away from doing this, and having stepped off the indoor trainer this afternoon after 4 hours in the saddle (93km @ 23km/h) and feel like this is achievable.Training well and truly underway
Well my indoor 12 week training is underway and my arse is a bit sore but getting used to hours in the saddle again. So different training indoors, you don't let the freehub spin like you can outside coasting along a flat or downhill - always on the peddles. Please help me reach my goal
Hi, I'm Chris (an Australian) and I'm currently living in north-eastern France amidst the Australian Remembrance Trail. An area where Australians lived, fought, recovered and many died. Each ANZAC Day, a dawn service is held at the Australian National Memorial which is located between the towns of Villers-Bretonneux and Corbie/Fouilloy.
This year I want to contribute by riding a route along the majority of the Australian Remembrance Trail (https://bit.ly/30tirpN) from Menin Gate at Ypres, Belgium to the Sir John Monash Centre - a distance of 169km, a distance I've not attempted before. Along the way I'll visit about 15 memorial sites where members of British, French, Canadian, New Zealand, Indian and South African forces have been interred.
My contribution is to raise funds for those serving and former members of the Australian Defence Force who have been physically or mentally affected by their time in Service.
I'm proud to be raising funds for Mates4Mates to help support veterans impacted by service-related injuries and their families.
Mates4Mates need our help to do more and provide much-needed support and rehabilitation services to those in need.
Please help me make a difference by donating. Together, our impact is greater!
